Audi has launched the Q7 3.0 TDI quattro 204PS in to the UK with 39.2mpg and reducing CO2 to 189g/km. Starts at £39,995. A less powerful engine for the Audi Q7 isn’t the first thing that jumps to mind as the right way to go, but Audi thinks there’s a market.

Morgan Life Car: the lowdown
Morgan, that most traditional of British brands, has announced it will launch a zero-emissions car called the Life Car at next year’s Geneva show. Based on the regular Aero chassis, the Life Car is part DTI-funded and involves partnerships with Oxford University and a company that developed fuel-cell technology for military applications – such as providing medical teams with power during conflicts. The Life Car is predicted to weigh 600kg, have a small fuel cell delivering 33bhp and, erm, no brakes.
The Subaru Levorg, eh? This is a ‘concept’ version for a next generation Subaru estate, and though it’s not being explicitly underlined here at Tokyo 2013, we understand the name is an amalgamation of Legacy, Revolution and Touring. While revolutionary wouldn’t exactly be out first choice description, the Levorg does feature a new 170hp 1.6-litre DIT turbo engine, and the latest Subaru EyeSight safety technology.
